Plymouth Firework Championships

We were recently asked by Fireworx Scotland if we could supply a firing system to fire their show at the Firework Championships. Of course we said yes and supplied 11 Tenways with 100 way Matrix modules and technical support for the competition. The display was well received with Fireworx Scotland taking third place.

McFly

Our good freinds at Pyrojunkies approched us a while ago to construct a large flaming logo for McFly. We were given a small word document image and asked can you make this 20 ft long 5 ft high in Flames, We fabricated the Flaming logo which ended up 21 ft long 6 ft high, ran on propane and was on tour for 3 weeks in March and April and looked stunning.

Gorbachev's 80th Birthday

Our Galaxis wireless firing system was used to fire streamers from above the stage for Mikhail Gorbachevs 80th Birthday celebrations at the Royal Ablert Hall. The units were placed in the rigging and switched on 23 hours before the event. We currently have units out with Quantum SFX on the NDUBZ tour.

Six Nations Rugby

Two of our 5 fingered flame unit were used as the Scotland team ran on to the pitch for the international matches at Murray Field.

GU Chocolate

We were asked by Richard Foster to come up with an idea for popping balloons filled with various liquids for a French TV ad for GU chocolate puds.
We designed a fast acting pneumatic arm that would pop balloons but be quick enough not to be seen in shot as it was filmed in High speed at 2000 fps. The arm was a big succes and the ad is currently being shown on French TV.

Everything and Nothing

We were asked by Nic Stacey, producer for Furnace TV to produce some underwater explosions and confetti burst’s for a BBC 4 production called Everything and Nothing. The explosion were filmed in High speed 8000 fps and were designed to signify the Big Bang.
The program was shown on BBC 4 21st and 28th March 2011.

Jingle Bell Ball

The Galaxis Wireless Firing System will again be used at the O2 arena for the Capital Radio Jingle bell ball on the 3rd, 4th and 5th December. AardvarkFX will be supporting Pyrojunkies for the event with acts that include Kylie Minogue, JLS, The Saturdays and many more.

Explosions. How we shook the World

We were asked by BBC to carry out a number of effects for the program which was aired on the 13th October. This included the opening sequences, Chinese fire mixtures and Black powder shots.

Engineering Connections 3

AardvarkFX have recently finished filming with Richard Hammond for a new series of Engineering Connections 3 which will be shown on Discovery later this year or early next year.

Capital FM

Once again we will be supporting PyroJunkies at this years CapitalFM Summer Ball, supplying the Galaxis Wireless Firing System.
Stars will include Cheryl Cole, JLS, Rihanna, Usher and Pixie Lott to name a few.
